Women Entrepreneurs Forum on Saturday organised the Juicy Fest 2024 to implement the plan to raise awareness of business opportunities, potential and expansion of small and medium women entrepreneurs in agriculture.
With the participation of small and medium women entrepreneurs from different parts of the country, the event was inaugurated by the chief guest of the programme Dr Tahseen Baha Suchona, the newly elected mayor of Comilla City Corporation.
Rafia Akhter, President of Women Entrepreneurs Forum, said, Women Entrepreneurs Forum has been conducting various social and cultural activities for the purpose of developing and expanding the business market of women entrepreneurs in the country, including digital platform and offline training. As part of that, we used to organize this 'Juicy Fest-2024'.
Dr. Ashish Kumar Chakraborty, Member of the Central Sub-Committee on Health and Population, Bangladesh Awami League and Managing Director of Universal Medical College Hospital, Dhaka, were present as special guests at the event held at Setara Convention Center, Mirpur Pallabi in the capital. Russell T Ahmed, President, BASIS, and Lippi Khandkar, Fashion Designer and Managing Director of Studio Bibiana, and Farzana Karim, a media personality, were present as guests of honour.
The programme included introduction of entrepreneurs, presentation of entrepreneur awards, product exhibition and cultural evening along with agricultural sessions. It is to be noted that since 2020, Women Entrepreneurs Forum has been working on Facebook-based women entrepreneurs skills development and commercial promotion and expansion in Bangladesh. Apart from online, the company is also working on digitization of offline entrepreneurs. At the end of the program an interesting cultural program along with raffle draw was held.
