Dr Khandker Ataur Rahman Rifat has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Bengal Cement, according to a press release.
With an illustrious career spanning 29 years, Dr Rifat has significantly contributed to several prominent organisations, including Hyundai Cement, Cemex Cement, Meghna Group, Lafarge-Holcim Bangladesh, Aman Cement, and Metrocem Group. His diverse skills, extensive experience, and profound knowledge have left an indelible mark on the industry.
The appointment was celebrated in a grand ceremony attended by Md Morshed Alam (MP), Chairman of Bengal Group of Industries, Vice Chairman Md. Jashim Uddin, and other senior officials of the Bengal Group.
Dr Rifat completed his Honours and Master's degrees from the University of Dhaka, followed by an MBA and a PhD.
