Interim government has adjusted prices of fuel oil in September in line into international market .
The changes will lead to price cuts of 1.25-6 TK per litre in the market. New prices will effect at 12 am on Saturday (31 August).
A Notice to press brief, the prices of petrol and octane were cut by Tk 6 per litre, while diesel and kerosene dropped by Tk 1.25 per litre.
Before, The Awami League government did not adjust prices for August in the face of widespread unrest and a mass anti-government movement. The Energy and Mineral Resources Division said no notice was issued as the price changes were minor.
The Energy Division said diesel and kerosene will sell for Tk 105.50 per litre at the retail level from Saturday instead of Tk 106.75.
The price of petrol has dropped from Tk 127 per litre to Tk 121.
The price of octane fell from Tk 131 to Tk 125 per litre.
