The new price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for September will be announced on Monday. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has notified this in a statement issued on Sunday, September 1.
According to the statement, based on the Saudi Aramco’s September 2024 Saudi CP, BERC will announce the revised price for private LPG cylinders at the consumer level on Monday at 3 PM.
Earlier, on August 4, the price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder was increased by Tk 11 from the previous month, setting the new price at Tk 1,377. The price had previously been raised by Tk 3, bringing it to Tk 1,366 for the same cylinder.
Additionally, on Saturday, the government reduced the prices of diesel, octane, and kerosene through a notification. The revised prices now see a decrease of Tk 1.25 per liter for diesel and kerosene, and Tk 6 per liter for octane and petrol. The new prices have been effective from Sunday.
