The grand Tokyo Game Show 2024 is kicking off on 26th September, uniting the gaming world at the magnificent Makuhari Messe Convention Center. This year, for the first time in the event’s history, a Bangladeshi tech company will be exhibiting at this exhilarating fair. Riseup Labs is a leading software and game development company in Bangladesh. Owing to its extensive portfolio of impactful games, the company has secured a stronghold in the regional and international game development landscape. The coming days will further reveal the company’s achievements as it showcases on the world stage in Tokyo.

Tokyo Game Show, or TGS, is the ultimate destination for everything gaming. Hosted annually in Japan—a global leader in gaming and animation—TGS is a paradise for game lovers. The event unites fans and industry giants alike, from developers to publishers, all under one colossal roof. Moreover, TGS highlights some of the most exciting and anticipated gaming spectacles, including premieres of new releases, live streaming, and public gaming setups where visitors can enjoy up to an hour of gameplay. For context, this year’s high-profile lineup includes Xbox, Sony, Nintendo, Square Enix, SEGA, and other headliners.

A mainstay of the show is its exhibitions. This is the segment that draws in seasoned visitors, businesses, and industry personnel. While the main attractions usually revolve around big and renowned industry players like Xbox, Sony, and the like, the exhibition section offers a glimpse of the trends, technology, and innovations from around the world. Last year's show, dubbed the 'full revival' for being the first full-scale event post-COVID, featured 787 exhibitors, 2,682 booths, and a record-high 243,238 visitors, making TGS 2023 the largest event in its history. With exhibitors from more than 40 countries and a list of 900+ confirmed participants, this year's TGS is set to surpass all previous records.

The exhibition segment offers a window into global gaming technology and trends. From indie games to large organizations, all types of game developers and organizations pour in to showcase at the event. TGS also has dedicated business-to-business matchmaking segments to facilitate meetings, partnerships, signing of deals, and even securing leads. Exhibitions allow these prolific developers to get recognized by big publishers or be noticed by investors and even potential partners, fostering indispensable networking among stakeholders. After all, opportunities and partnerships are the lifeline of innovation, fueling new ideas while driving the industry forward.

Riseup Labs sees this as an immense opportunity to be part of this spectacular event featuring some of the brightest game developers from around the world. To quote Mr. Ershadul Hoque, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Riseup Labs:
Riseup Labs began as a game developer, with game development at the core of our DNA. With years of experience, we are constantly pushing boundaries to drive innovation in the gaming industry. We envision a thriving gaming sector in Bangladesh soon. Moreover, showcasing on the global stage in Tokyo can be a prime opportunity for us to connect with leading game developers, enthusiasts, and industry leaders. We look forward to gaining insights into the global gaming scene and showcasing Bangladesh's vast potential.

The four-day event runs from September 26–29 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.
