UCB to launch co-branded credit card for BUET Graduates Club members

United Commercial Bank (UCB) PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BUET Graduates Club Limited to enhance the financial experience of club members.

To this end, an MoU was signed in a ceremony held at the head office of BUET Graduates Club located in Banani in the capital on 23 September, according to a media release. 

Under this agreement, UCB will come up with a co-branded credit card for club members.

UCB will be introducing a co-branded credit card to make financial transactions more convenient for the members of BUET Graduates Club, founded in 2018 for BUET alumni. Through this, the club members can avail all the financial and other benefits offered by UCB credit card.

UCB’s Acting Managing Director Syed Faridul Islam and BUET Graduates Club President Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Sharif Zahir, Chairman of UCB’s Board of Directors, was present as the chief guest at the MoU signing ceremony. BUET Graduates Club’s Executive Committee (Finance) Member Engr. Farhad Ahmed Khan, Executive Committee Member Engr. Shyamal Saha and senior officials of both entities were also present at the event.

While speaking as the chief guest, UCB Chairman Sharif Zahir said, “We are really happy to bring a co-branded credit card for the members of BUET Graduates Club. UCB is working tirelessly to enrich the banking experience of the people of this country and develop positive mindset about the financial sector. We are hopeful that this joint venture between the BUET Graduates Club and UCB will add a new dimension to the lives of club members.”
