Islami Bank inaugurates Patharghata Branch in Barguna

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC inaugurated its 396th branch at Patharghata of Barguna on Wednesday (6 November). Md. Altaf Hossain, Additional Managing Director of the bank inaugurated the branch as chief guest.

Md. Shamsuddoha and A.K.M Mahbub Morshed, Senior Executive Vice Presidents of the bank addressed the program. Md. Saroar Hossain, Head of Barishal Zone presided over the program while Chowdhury Md. Faruk, Md. Shamim Ahsan & Chowdhury Md. Masum, prominent businessmen & social workers, Mohammad Mohsin Kabir, Principal of Patharghata College, Md. Abu Saleh, Additional SP, Dr. M S Shohag Badsha, eminent Islamic scholar, Md. Khalilur Rahman & Md. Mahbubur Rahman Khan, renowned businessmen and Md. Harun-Or-Rashid, famous social worker addressed the program. Md. Lakitullah, Head of Patharghata Branch thanked the audience. Executives and employees of the bank, clients, well-wishers and local elites were present on the occasion. 

Md. Altaf Hossain, Additional Managing Director said in his speech as chief guest that, Islami Bank is the bank of the country and its’ people. Despite the current problems of the country's financial sector, all the banking activities of Islami Bank continue smoothly. After overcoming various crisis, Islami Bank has regained its glory within three months. He informed that apart from business, Islami Bank has been able to reach the doorsteps of people by contributing to social development and humanitarian work. This bank has provided investments to 20 lakh customers for the economic development and self-reliance of people in remote areas. 

He emphasized that Islami Bank is the largest and strongest bank in the country. 2.3 million customers consider this bank as their place of trust. He mentioned the need and importance of businesses in the Patharghata area and expressed the hope of launching micro investment services through the Rural Development Scheme (RDS). He called upon all to avail the modern technology based services of this bank from more than 6 thousand banking units across the country including the Patharghata Branch.
