Mobile phone operator Grameenphone (GP) has signed an agreement with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) to open bank accounts entirely online through MyGP app.
The collaboration is set to transform the digital banking experience, allowing customers to enjoy the convenience of managing their finances from the palm of their hands, said a GP press release today.
It said the partnership, signed recently at GP House, aims to streamline the account opening process, enhancing convenience and efficiency alongside integrating innovative ICT solutions and services.
Dr Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer of GP, said, “By integrating SCB’s banking services within the MyGP app, we strive to provide customers a fast, secure, and user-friendly experience through simplifying banking processes alongside empowering them to manage their finances with greater ease and flexibility.”
Lutful Habib, Managing Director and Head of Wealth and Retail Banking at SCB said, “SCB is dedicated to providing innovative banking solutions, and this partnership with GP is a testament to our shared vision of advancing digital transformation and financial inclusion in Bangladesh.”
