A partnership agreement has recently been signed between Banglalink (one of the leading telecom service providers in Bangladesh) and PriyoShop (the country’s premier B2B marketplace). Banglalink customers will receive exclusive services through PriyoShop’s retail network under this agreement. Banglalink users are now able to access a variety of digital products such as mobile top-ups, internet packages, physical SIMs and e-SIMs directly from PriyoShop’s network of grocery retailers.
The signing ceremony was attended by Banglalink’s Cluster Director MD Farhad Hossain, Regional Head Mamunur Rashid, along with PriyoShop’s Executive Director Shahidullah Al Mahmud, SVP Ashik Ahmed, SAVP Md. Ehsanuzzaman, AVP Md. Rafiqul Islam, and other key officials.
Shahiduallah Al Mahmud, Executive Director of PriyoShop, stated, “We are thrilled to be joining forces with Banglalink, Bangladesh's top telecom company. This agreement is going to bring about a significant transformation in the retail ecosystem. As a result, grocery store owners will be able to earn additional income through the sale of digital products. This will further empower grocery store owners to become self-sufficient as they are availing some extra income apart from their regular activities. At the same time, Banglalink customers will be able to access the necessary services easily from their nearby grocery stores. Banglalink and PriyoShop will introduce many more digital services in the future, which will enable better customer service centered around grocery store owners.”
It's worth noting that Banglalink is a prominent telecommunication service provider in Bangladesh. It is the third largest GSM-based mobile phone network operator in Bangladesh in terms of the number of subscribers. And PriyoShop is contributing to the development of the MSME sector in various parts of the country. Currently, more than 91,000 retailers are connected to the PriyoShop platform. PriyoShop aims to create a modern distribution platform to meet the needs of 5 million MSMEs, serving 200 billion people. Partnering together, they are building an inclusive, tech-enabled future where local businesses can prosper, contributing to a thriving digital economy for Bangladesh.
