Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, a global electronics brand, has entered into an 'Employee Green Banking' agreement with City Bank PLC to provide its employees with preferential banking services. The agreement enables Walton Hi-Tech employees to access various banking facilities, including payroll services, debit and credit cards, and personal, car, or home loan options from City Bank.
The signing ceremony was held at Walton's Corporate Office, where Walton Hi-Tech's Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Md. Ziaul Alam, FCA, ICA (ICAEW), City Bank's Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Head of Retail Banking, Arup Haider, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Walton Hi-Tech's Chairman S M Shamsul Alam, Managing Director S M Mahbubul Alam, and other senior officials, alongside City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Kaiser and Managing Director & CEO Mashrur Arefin.
Walton Hi-Tech's Managing Director, S M Mahbubul Alam, stated, "This agreement aligns with Walton's commitment to providing the best facilities for its employees, fostering both individual growth and organisational excellence."
City Bank's CEO, Mashrur Arefin, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, emphasising the ease and convenience the bank's services will bring Walton employees, including seamless salary disbursement and round-the-clock financial access.
City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Kaiser lauded Walton's contribution to Bangladesh's global image, remarking, "This partnership strengthens the bond between two leading organisations in their respective fields." Following the agreement, an ATM booth dedicated exclusively to Walton employees was inaugurated at Walton's corporate office.
