On Saturday, AUX, one of the top three Chinese air conditioner brands, officially launched its operations in Bangladesh. The announcement was made during a grand launching event at the Sheraton Hotel in Banani, Dhaka. It was revealed that a welfare fund would be established using proceeds from AUX air conditioner sales. This fund will support AC technicians by offering financial assistance for their children’s education, health, and other needs.
The AUX air conditioners are being manufactured locally at Vista’s factory. Vista Electronics Limited, acting as the sales partner, will handle local market distribution and export operations.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Vista Electronics Chairman Shamsul Alam, Managing Director Lokman Hossain Akash, and Vista Director and actor Ilias Kanchan, along with AUX representatives Uki Rong, Sybil Yin, and Md. Mostafizur Rahman. More than 400 leading electronics traders from across the country also participated.
Globally, AUX air conditioners are exported to over 126 countries. AUX operates 14 manufacturing facilities and six advanced research and development centers in countries like Japan, Germany, and China. Known for its unique designs, AI integration, and advanced technology, AUX has rapidly gained popularity in markets across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Vista’s factory, located in the Hi-Tech Park in Kaliakoir, Gazipur, will produce AUX-branded air conditioners as part of a collaborative initiative between Vista and AUX. This partnership is expected to boost local production, create new employment opportunities, and bring significant investment and technical support to Bangladesh.
During the event, Vista Electronics Chairman Shamsul Alam stated, “Today is an important day for both Vista and AUX. Those familiar with technology know AUX’s reputation as a global leader. It’s a matter of pride that their products will now be manufactured at Vista’s facilities in Bangladesh.”
Vista Managing Director Lokman Hossain Akash added, “In the rapidly changing global electronics market, the latest technology leads to superior products. AUX and Vista are ready to meet quality challenges and provide durable, cost-effective products to consumers.”
