Curtain falls on Walton managed ‘ATS Expo’ with bagging Tk350cr orders

The three-day ‘Advanced Technology Solution- ATS Expo 2024,’ country’s sole industrial expo hosted by tech-giant Walton, received a great response from domestic and foreign companies.

During the expo held from 5 to 7 December of 2024, Walton received around Tk 350 crore worth orders from various local and overseas companies.

Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC’s Managing Director S M Mahbubul Alam came up with the disclosure at the closing ceremony of the event held at the International Convention City Bashundhara on December 7, 2024.

Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Textiles and Jute Sheikh Bashir Uddin attended the closing ceremony of the expo as the chief while Commerce Secretary Md. Selim Uddin, BSTI’s Director General SM Ferdous Alam and Patent, Desing, Trademark Department’s Director General Md. Munim Hasan were special guests.

Among others, Walton Hi-Tech’s Chairman S M Shamsul Alam, Vice-Chairman S M Ashraful Alam, Director S M Nurul Alam Rezvi, Brand Ambassadors Siam Ahmed and Bidya Sinha Mim, other senior officials of the company and delegates from government and private organisations were also present at the function.

At the closing day of ATS Expo, Adviser to Commerce, Textiles and Jute Sheikh Bashir Uddin visited various stalls of the expo and also overwhelmed witnessing Walton produced advanced technologies electronics, electrical products, industrial materials and components of the backward linkage industry.

During the visit, he inaugurated Walton’s new model of VRF air-conditioner and big-display featured split type AC.

The commerce, textiles and jute adviser said, “Walton’s efforts to manufacture and supply electronics product are praiseworthy. Walton uses the government’s policy supports perfectly and Bangladesh is being branded by their products across the globe. It’s our pride.”

Commerce Secretary Md. Selim Uddin said, “I’m impressed after visiting the Walton-managed ATS expo. This giant company is leading country’s tech industries. Walton is the best one in terms of after sales service as well. More and more companies like Walton should be grown up in the country. Government will continue the necessary supports in boosting the local industries.”

Walton has received about Tk 350 crore worth orders from local and overseas companies, mentioning it Walton Hi-Tech’s Managing Director S M Mahbubul Alam said, Walton has emphasized on investing more in product research and innovation as well as manufacturing environment-friendly products.

He also called upon on providing necessary policy supports to the domestic manufacturer.

Walton Hi-Tech’s director S M Nurul Alam Rezvi said that Walton has arranged the expo in an extended way. Our target of informing people of home and abroad regarding our abilities of producing and marketing electronics products in this year’s expo has been fulfilled successfully.

In his vote of thanks speech, Walton’s chairman S M Shamsul Alam: “We have received huge responses beyond our expectations. The expo is visited by high-level representatives from government and private sectors, including man high profile persons of different local and foreign companies. We are very happy and satisfied with their positive response.”
