International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) has inaugurated seven new buses to enhance transportation facilities for its students. The official launch took place on Thursday, December 12, at the university's main gate, where Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdur Rab and Treasurer Professor Selina Nargis jointly cut the ribbon to mark the occasion.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by IUBAT Registrar Professor Dr. Md. Momtazur Rahman, Controller of Examinations Brigadier General Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain (Retd.), Dean of the of Engineering Professor Dr. Md. Monirul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Professor Dr. Md. Shahidullah Mia, Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Professor Dr. Utpal Kanti Das, Director of Miyan Research Institute Dr. Sajal Saha, BBA Program Coordinator Dr. Hasanuzzaman Tushar, Mechanical Engineering Coordinator Dr. A. K. M. Parvez Iqbal, Deputy Director of Public Relations Md. Al Amin Sihab, and Deputy Registrar Rizna Nahar, along with students and staff members.
IUBAT has been providing free transportation services to its students across Dhaka, Gazipur, Savar, and Narayanganj. Additionally, shuttle services operate every hour from the campus, facilitating safe and convenient travel for hundreds of students. With the inclusion of these seven new buses, the university will introduce additional routes covering Dhaka, Narayanganj, and Narsingdi districts, further improving accessibility and ensuring safer commutes for students.
