Despite the recent uncertainties in the financial sector, Bangladeshi enterprises have immense potential to benefit from business-to-business growth. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Energypac Power Generation PLC Humayun Rashid expressed his optimism at the 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company at Raowa Convention Hall in the city on yesterday (Sunday). “The upcoming market will be far better. And I believe, business profitability will be higher in the coming days,” he told the shareholders.

Energypac Power Generation PLC’s Chairman engineer Rabiul Alam chaired the meeting attended by other board directors and independent directors. According to the decision taken at the AGM, no cash dividend would be paid to shareholders this year owing to high interest rates, forex volatility and inflation.

“The whole world is dealing with several crises such as inflation, war and conflict. As a result, it is not possible to pay any cash dividends to our shareholders this year,” Mr Humayun Rashid said expressing gratitude to the shareholders for their understanding of the situation. He, however, expressed his confidence that the company would be “able to turn the corner soon”. “We hope that our partners, who have trusted us so far, will continue to support us in the future.”
