AGS Quality Action Limited is the first and only accredited cyber security penetration testing laboratory by the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) under the Ministry of Industries.
In considering cyber threats and risks, attacks can lead to significant financial losses. Not only can cybercriminals steal money directly from bank accounts or use stolen credit card details for fraudulent transactions, but data breaches can result in regulatory fines, legal costs, and reputational damage.
Bangladeshi corporate companies, Banks, NBFIs, MFIS, organisations and critical infrastructure should apply appropriate prevention mechanisms for cyber threats and risk attacks. i.e., conducting cyber drills and regular vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT).
On the above consideration, Cyber Security Penetration Testing Laboratory, AGS Quality Action Limited organised a Pre-Cyber Drill conference 2025 dated 15 January 2025 at the 3D Seminar Hall of Krishibid Institution Bangladesh, Dhaka, with the presence of Shish Haider Chowdhury, ndc, Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division as Chief Guest, Md. Anwarul Alam, Additional Secretary, Director General, Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB), Rafel Kabir Chairman, Associate Committee, BASIS, Zainal Abedin, Vice President (Academic), Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), Abu Sayed Md Kamruzzaman, ndc, Director General, National Cyber Security Agency, Fahad Zaman Chowdhury, Joint Director (ICT), Bangladesh Bank, GM Faruk Ahmed, Member, Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), Alin Boby, Secretary General, Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) and Fouzia Nigar Sultana, Member (Finance), Associate Committee, BASIS as Special Guest and participating Various organisations in implementing Cyber Drill.
A day-long Cyber Drill CTF (Capture the Flag Platform) will be conducted on 26 February 2025 with the participation of different Bangladeshi corporate companies, MFIS, IT Service providers and other organisations for preventative measures of potential cyber risk preparedness.
Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) and CTF platform BGD e-GOV CIRT, ICT Ministry, are the technical partners of the "1st Agile Cyber Drill-2025." BCS will engage 150 (one hundred fifty) members and professional cyber security engineers in the cyber drill 2025. Professional cyber security engineers will support the participating organisation in a successful exercise.
