An interactive discussion session on Artificial Intelligence (AI) was held on January 19, 2025, at the conference hall of ACI Limited in the capital. The keynote presentation in this discussion was presented by the former Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Dhaka University and UK-based organization Digital Readiness and Intelligent Systems Ltd. (D-Ready) Chief Executive Officer Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain.
Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain, who worked in 5 UK universities, including Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, where he served as a professor of AI and director of the research institute, highlighted the importance of proper and responsible use of AI in the main discussion. This time he discussed the AI tool Responsible AI, Insightful Data, Operational Trust (RaiDOT), which was developed by D-Ready. He said, by using correct and responsible use of AI, it is possible to increase the production and quality of any product unexpectedly. On the other hand, misuse of AI can lead to disastrous situations.
Director of ICT Cell of Dhaka University and Professor of CSE Department, Professor Dr. Mosaddek Hossain Kamal chaired the session. In the session, ACI Limited, United International University, and Daffodil Computers Limited demonstrated the outcomes of their risk analysis using RaiDOT.com.
Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain said, we have already started the country's first 'AI-Powered Village' (Artificial Intelligence Village) in Chandina, Comilla. Gradually we will try to conduct more activities based on AI.
