Bangladesh's leading IT firm, Orange Business Development Limited (Orangebd), actively contributes to various Philippine government e-governance projects. As part of these efforts, the company participated in the Digital Bangsamoro Summit held on Tuesday at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex in the Bangsamoro region of the Philippines. The summit was inaugurated by the Minister of Local Government of the Philippines, the Chief Minister of the Bangsamoro region, and the Philippines head of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Representatives from various international organisations and institutions were also in attendance.

Bangladesh was represented at the summit by a delegation from Orangebd, led by the company's Director and Chief Information Officer, Md. Shamim Hossain. He delivered a keynote speech on 'Journey to the Digitisation and Service Delivery Ecosystem Blueprint'. The company shared these details in a press release issued on Thursday.

According to the press release, Orangebd is currently working on digitising 14 citizen and business-related services in 20 municipalities out of 123 in the Bangsamoro region. These initiatives will gradually be expanded to all municipalities, aiming to digitalise all citizen and business services.

Additionally, Orangebd is collaborating with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), an institution under the Office of the President of the Philippines, to develop a program and project monitoring system. This system will assist the Philippine government with monitoring donor-funded projects, analysing data, and making data-driven decisions to enhance efficiency and transparency.

Orangebd's involvement in these initiatives demonstrates its commitment to leveraging technology for efficient governance and service delivery in the Philippines.
