United Aygaz LPG Ltd. and Teach For Bangladesh have officially joined hands in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, signing a partnership agreement at United Group’s headquarters today. This strategic collaboration will support the project titled ‘Climate Resilient Classrooms for Students for a Greener Tomorrow’, an initiative aimed at fostering leadership among students in Bangladesh and equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive climate resilience in their communities.

Recognizing the vast potential of every student, this initiative seeks to integrate climate-conscious education into the academic framework, empowering the youth to become impactful change-makers. Through this project, students will gain critical insights into environmental sustainability, positioning them as future leaders in Bangladesh’s journey toward a greener and more sustainable future.

United Aygaz LPG Ltd. is a joint venture between Aygaz, the first energy company of Koç Holding—the largest industrial conglomerate in Turkey—and United Group, one of Bangladesh's leading socio-economic infrastructure-based business conglomerates. The company specializes in importing, storing, bottling, marketing, and distributing LPG under the Aygaz United brand.

The signing event was attended by prominent officials from both organizations, including CEO of United Aygaz LPG Ltd., Mr. Harun Ortaç; CFO, Mr. Osman Dinç Çelik; GM & Head of Sales, Mr. Showkat Osman Jamil; and DGM-Marketing, Mr. Sadman Shariar Biswas. Representing Teach For Bangladesh were CEO Ms. Munia Islam Mozumder, Program Director Hasibur Rahman Sohan, and other distinguished officials.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Harun Ortaç of United Aygaz LPG Ltd. and Ms. Munia Islam Mozumder of Teach For Bangladesh expressed their shared commitment to creating a lasting impact through this collaboration. They emphasized the importance of corporate and nonprofit partnerships in fostering meaningful change within society and contributing to national development.

“This initiative aligns perfectly with our core values and vision for a sustainable future. By investing in education and climate resilience, we are not only empowering young minds but also strengthening Bangladesh’s ability to address environmental challenges,” said Mr. Ortaç.

Echoing his sentiments, Ms. Mozumder added, “At Teach for Bangladesh, we believe that education is a powerful tool for transformation. This collaboration with United Aygaz LPG Ltd. enables us to bring climate-focused learning to students, ensuring they are prepared to lead the way towards a sustainable and greener tomorrow.”

The event concluded with both parties reaffirming their dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students and the broader community through this pioneering CSR initiative.
