After the huge success of last year and the year before, Lizol, the popular disinfectant floor and surface cleaner brand by Reckitt Benckiser, has brought back its popular Ramadan Mosque cleaning drive, ‘Porichhonotai Pobitrota.’ This year, Lizol is once again taking on a nationwide mission to clean 100 mosques across Bangladesh, showing its commitment to hygiene and community well-being during the holy month of Ramadan.

The campaign kicked off from the esteemed Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, setting the stage for a month-long initiative aimed at ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for worshippers. Covering all 7 divisions of the country, Lizol’s dedicated team, in collaboration with local community members, volunteers, and religious leaders, will clean 10 mosques per division, amounting to 70 mosques outside the capital. Additionally, 30 mosques within Dhaka city will also be part of this large-scale drive.

During Ramadan, mosques fill with worshippers for prayers and iftar and sehri gatherings, making cleanliness more important than ever. It also serves as a reminder of the vital role hygiene plays in both religious and community spaces. To ensure lasting cleanliness even after Ramadan, Lizol is providing each mosque with a one-year supply of floor cleaning solutions, along with dedicated Ramadan Calander Boards and Hygiene Kit Boxes to support ongoing hygiene maintenance.

‘Porichhonotai Pobitrota’ represents Lizol’s mission to spread awareness about hygiene and support the community. Mr. Rakib Uddin, Manager of External Affairs at Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) PLC, said, “For the past 2 years, we saw a great response to our mosque cleaning campaign, which proved how necessary it was. By bringing it back for the third time, we want to continue helping mosque caretakers and worshippers by ensuring a clean and peaceful environment during Ramadan.”

Sabrin Maruf Tinni, Marketing Manager, Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) PLC stated "At Reckitt Benckiser, we believe brands have the power to create meaningful change. With ‘Porichhonotai Pobitrota,’ Lizol is not just promoting hygiene but encouraging a culture of cleanliness. This annual Ramadan campaign aligns with our commitment to community well-being, ensuring that Muslims can pray in a clean and hygienic environment."

Reckitt Benckiser, Lizol’s parent company, is a global leader in hygiene, health, and nutrition. It works to improve lives with innovative products and meaningful projects. Through campaigns like ‘Porichhonotai Pobitrota,’ Lizol is setting an example of how businesses can help communities, making a real difference in public health and well-being in Bangladesh.
