A 10-year-old boy died on Wednesday (15 November) after a sand-laden truck ran him over in Kishoreganj. The incident happened in the Notun Bazar area of the Itna union of Itna upazila around 11:00 am.
Itna Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Zakir Rabbani, confirmed the matter.
The deceased was identified as Sajoy Ravidas of Rishipara village.
According to sources, Sajoy died on the spot after the truck hit him. Police seized the truck, but the driver fled the scene.
The body was sent to Kishoreganj Modern Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said the OC.
