Two youths were killed as their bike hit a roadside tree in Sundarganj upazila of the district on Friday(8 December) evening.
The deceased were identified as Sazid Miah, 18, and Jewel Rana, 18, hailed from Rangpur district.
Police said the accident took place in Hannan Mour area of the upazila around 6.00 pm when the reckless bike hit a roadside tree, leaving its rider Sazid dead on the spot and Jewel injured critically.
Jewel died on the way to Sundarganj Upazila Health Complex.
Officer-in-Charge of Sundarganj Police Station Azmiruzzaman confirmed the matter.
