Due to a lack of renovations, the publicly important routes in Zanjira upazila of Shariatpur are in terrible shape, causing constant suffering for thousands of people.

The path leading to Rupbabur Hat Bazar via Sah Alam Market is heavily utilized by thousands, including students from nearby unions and various villages. Residents of the neighborhood endure difficulties due to numerous potholes in the damaged sections, resulting from a lack of repairs. Despite assurances of periodic fixes, the road remains unrepaired and unpaved.

Among the several routes in the upazila, it is evident that this particular one connects the Jazira Upazila. The road, nearly 2.5 km long, is unfit for traffic due to the presence of bricks. Numerous people struggle to navigate this road, leading to frequent accidents and hazards. The broken narrow roads and large potholes, persisting due to long-term neglect, hinder the smooth movement of vehicles.

Pedestrians on the road report poor quality work during the road's construction a few years ago. Heavy trucks and tractors transporting goods have turned the road into a rough terrain with brick-filled potholes.

Local farmer Md. Ratan Madbar (40) highlights the challenges faced in selling crops from his 8 bigha land during the Rabi season. The damaged road not only makes transportation difficult but also increases the cost of crop production. The road poses risks to thousands of students from Makrajul Mahila Madrasa, East Naodoba Public High School, and Child Care Kinder Garden.

East Naodoba Public High School Principal K. M. Idrissur Rahman shares his personal experience of the road, emphasizing the difficulties faced by students, parents, and healthcare providers. He urgently requests the initiation of repairs for the road. Altaf Hossain Khan, chairman of East Naodoba Union Parishad (UP), acknowledges the road's significance for students and the challenges faced by the Rabi crop area in accessing the market. He assures that the road is under tender and will soon undergo renovations.

Upazila Engineer Emon Molla assures that the road will be inspected, and necessary measures will be taken to address the longstanding issues and initiate timely renovations.
