Rashed Rabbi and Mainul Hasan Sohel
Bangladesh Health Reporters Forum (BHRF) has formed a 15-member committee, appointing Rashed Rabbi, Special Correspondent of Ajker Patrika, as President and Mainul Hasan Sohel, Senior Reporter of Daily Inqilab, as General Secretary, for the consecutive second term.
During a bi-annual general meeting held at a hotel in the capital's Karwan Bazaar on Friday (22 December), the committee was formed. In accordance with the constitution, the electoral core committee formed this body to operate over the next two years.
Subsequently, the former president of the organisation, Taufiq Maruf, announced the new committee on behalf of the electoral core committee, and its formation received unanimous approval.
The additional members of the committee include: Vice-President: Hamimul Kabir, Senior Reporter of Naya Diganta, Vice-President Sebika Debnath, Senior Reporter of Bhorer Kagoj, Joint Secretary Barun Kumar Dash, Senior Reporter of BSS, Finance Secretary Bayezdi Munshi, Senior Reporter of Bhorer Dak, Organiding Secretary Mahmud Komol, Senior Reporter of Masranga Television, Office Secretary Hasan Misbah, Senior Reporter of Independent Television, Publicity and Publication Secretary Arif Shaon, Staff Reporter of Dainik Bhorer Akash, Executive Members Jannatul Bakeya Keka, Special Correspondent of Channel I, Dinar Sultana, Senior Reporter of BTV, Laboni Guha, Senior Reporter of Deepto Television, Ainal Hossain, City Editor of Ajker Patrika, Anwar Hossain, Staff Reporter of Nagorik TV, Mohammad Al Amin, Senior Reporter of Daily Sun.
Prior to this, BHRF President Rashed Rabbi chaired the meeting, where General Secretary of the previous term, Mainul Hasan Sohel, and Finance Secretary Md Bayezdi Munshi presented the annual report. Following a comprehensive discussion, two reports were approved by a voice vote.
