A fire broke out at Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) market in Rajshahi city on Monday evening.
The fire broke out at a grocery shop on the ground floor of the three-storey RDA market around 7:45 pm and engulfed the other shops soon, said Ohidul Islam, Deputy Director of Rajshahi District Fire Service.
On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 8:15 pm.
However, the reason behind the fire and extent of the damages from the fire could be known immediately, she added.
