Narayanganj City Corporation, public representatives, district administration and police administration's joint consensus on clean the city have started by conducting illegal market eviction campaign on Mir Jumla road of the city on Tuesday (6 February).
The historical consensus made on February 3 from a round table meeting which held on Narayanganj Press Club.
On Tuesday (February 6) morning, illegal hawkers and market eviction operations were conducted from Mir Jumla Road in Digu Babur Bazaar area of the city. The operation was conducted by Executive Magistrate Arafat Mohammad Noman, District Superintendent of Police (Acting) Amir Khosru and various officials of the administration.
During the campaign, the Superintendent of Police told the media that the administration is working to clear traffic jams, illegal stands, hawkers and illegal establishments in Narayanganj with the consensus of the public representatives. In view of that, the administration is working to evacuate various structures in Narayanganj for the last three days. Illegal constructions are being removed from the Mir Jumla road today. It will continue in the future.
On Saturday (February 3), NCC mayor, members of parliament, district administration officials sat in a historic round table meeting to resolve hawkers and traffic congestion in the city. In the meeting, they shared their views on the implementation of the city's hawker and congestion-free city.
