A fire that broke out at the scrapyard behind the Shahbag Police Station has been brought under control.
The fire broke out around 2:45 on Tuesday (5 March), said Lima Khanam, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.
Three firefighting units brought the blaze under control within a few minutes.
The origin of the fire couldn’t be known yet, she added.
