A 23-year-old worker was killed and two others injured when three girders of an under-construction bridge collapsed on them at Soydabad in Sirajganj Economic Zone on Monday (2 April).
The deceased was identified as Zubayer, son of Mahmud Ali of Sirajganj municipality area.
Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said three girders of an under-construction bridge collapsed on three workers when they were working under the bridge around 10:30 am, leaving one dead on the spot and two others injured.
On information, police and a firefighting units rushed to the spot and sent the injured workers to Shaheed M Mansur Ali Medical College and hospital.
