A fire broke out in Thuisapara, under the watch of Battalion 38 of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB),causing damage to several homes around 10:00 am on May 17.
Upon receiving news of the fire, BGB members quickly mobilized from Jinapara BGB camp to Thuisapara. They worked tirelessly to control the fire, utilizing various methods and firefighting equipment. By noon, they managed to bring the situation under control.
Several houses were burnt in Thuisapara in the fire. However, their other assets were saved.
Unfortunately, several mountain dwellers were injured while attempting to extinguish the flames. The medical team at the BGB camp provided them with immediate primary care and necessary medication.
Additionally, food supplies were provided to affected families from the Jinapara BGB camp later in the day.
