A motorcyclist was killed in a collision between his motorcycle and a private car on the Barmi-Gafargaon regional road at Islam market area of Nandia Sangun village under Sreepur upazila of the district on Friday (31 May).
The deceased was identified as Mahmuduzzaman Limon, 22, son of Halim Uddin Fakir of Bapta village of the upazila.
The accident occurred in the area when he was going to Gafargaon riding a motorcycle. On the way, the bike collided head-on with a private car around 1 pm this afternoon, leaving the Limon serious injured, sub-inspector (SI) of Sreepur Police Station Abu Raihan said.
Later, he was taken to the Upazila Health Complex, where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Police seized the private car from the spot, SI said.
Legal action is under process in this regard, SI added.
