Two people died in separate road accidents in Magura on Friday (31 May).
The victims were identified as Shubrato Malo, 49, of Panighata area of Mohammadpur upazila and Rayad Sheikh, 35, son of Abul Sheikh of Kamanna village of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah.
Mehedi Hasan, officer in charge (OC) of Magura police station, said Nosimon driver Subrato Malo sustained serious injury when the vehicle collided with a passenger bus in front of Gangarampur Secondary School on Narail-Magura road around 9am.
Subrato died on the way to the 250-bed hospital, he added.
Meanwhile, a van driver died on the spot while the van collided with a speeding truck on Magura-Jhenaidah road.
Officer-in-charge of Magura Ramnagar Highway Police Gautam Chandra Biswas said that cases have been filed at Magura police station in both incidents.
