Child killed by TomTom in Alikadam

A 7-year-old child named Imam Hossain died after being hit by a tomtom in Bandarban's Alikadam. The accident took place on Sunday (2 June) around 8:30 in the morning at Reparpara market of Chaikxyong Union No. 2 of the upazila.

The deceased child, Imam Hossain, is the son of Badsha Mia of Ward No. 6 Tarabunia Para of the same union and a student of Alikadam Islamia Orphanage and Shelter in Reparpara Bazar.

Assistant Medical Officer Bibi Fatema, who is in charge of the emergency department of Lama Hospital, said that a CNG driver named Minhaj brought the child to the hospital around 9 am. He died before being taken to the hospital. The body was not identified. The child died due to head injuries. Bleeding profusely.

CNG driver Md. Minhaj brought the dead child to the hospital. He said that the child was seriously injured by the TomTom in Rapapara market. I was coming there. The local crowd handed over the child to my CNG. There was also the TomTom driver who was involved in the accident. After bringing the llama to the hospital, the doctor declared the child dead, and the TomTom driver fled. Child Alikadam Islamia Orphanage. The people of the orphanage have been destroyed.

Alikadam Islamia Orphanage President Md Mofiz said, the child used to study in our orphanage. He is the son of Badsha Mia of Tarabunia Para. The family has been informed. He was hit by a speeding tomtom while crossing the road.

After learning about the death of the child, Imam Hossain, the sub-inspector of the Lama police station, came to the Lama hospital. He said that the body has been preserved for the first time. As the spot has fallen to Alikadam police station, the body will be handed over to Alikadam police station for further legal proceedings.
