A young man was killed in a road accident in Bakshiganj upazila in the district on Wednesday (5 June). The victim was identified as Bappi Miah, 25, son of Tara Miah at village Malibag in Bakshiganj upazila and also an old scraper businessman.
Officer-in-charge, Bakshiganj Police Station, Mohammad Abdul Ahad Khan said Bappi was carrying goods on his van and his van overturned due to overload in Ramrampur area in the upazila at around 9 pm.
Critically injured Bappi Miah was rushed to Bakshiganj Health complex where the attending doctor declared him dead.
