Two motorcyclists were killed and another injured when a covered van hit the motorbike at Kadamtoli in Ghatail upazila of Tangail district on Thursday (13 June).
The deceased were identified as Zahurul Islam Jewel, 48, son of Abdus Salam, Md Alamgir Hossain Badsha, 45, son of Jakir Hossain.
The accident occurred around 9 am when the covered van hit the motorbike carrying three friends, leaving two dead on the spot and another injured, said Md Abdus Salam, officer-in-charge of Ghatail Police Station.
The injured was taken to Kalihati Upazila Health Complex where the doctors suggested shifting him to Dhaka for better treatment.
