Two people died when a covered van overturned and crushed a CNG-run autorickshaw in the Bhoradoba club market area of Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh on Saturday (15 June).
The incident happened on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 4:45 am on Saturday.
One of the deceased was identified as the autorickshaw driver Abdul Halim (40), son of Amir Uddin Mandal in the Bailor area of Trishal upazila, and the identity of the passenger is yet to be known.
Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhoradoba Highway Police Station, confirmed the matter.
The two people died on the spot, he said.
Both vehicles were recovered and brought to the highway police station, the OC said.
