Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has successfully completed the removal of all sacrificial animal waste on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.
DNCC’s Waste Management Department removed a total of 4,009 metric tonnes of waste across the city in 927 trips by 5 pm on Tuesday (18 June), according to a press release.
On Eid day one, the waste removal operation began at 2 pm, and DNCC managed to clear all waste from every ward within the designated six hours, completing the task by 8 pm, it said.
On Eid day alone, DNCC removed approximately 10,374 MT of waste from all wards, executing 2,101 trips.
