A 54-year-old farmer died from electrocution at Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat on Monday (24 June).
The deceased was Mahbub Rahman of in Ketkibari village of Nawdabash union of the upazila.
Hatibandha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Saiful Islam confirmed the matter.
Mahbub was working on the electrical connection at his house. At that time, a wire accidentally broke and fell on his body. He was severely injured by the electric shock. Later, locals rescued him in critical condition and took him to Hatibandha Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared him dead, said locals.
