Two people were killed in a road accident in Sajir Mor area of Naldanga upazila of Natore on Tuesday (25 June) afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Moktadul Alam (30), a BGB personnel, and Kholilur Rahman (65), a banker. Additionally, Kholilur Rahman's wife, Runa Begum, and two others sustained injuries.
Monowaruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Naldanga Police Station, confirmed the matter and said that the accident occurred when a CNG-auto rickshaw from Naogaon collided head-on with a truck traveling in the opposite direction towards Natore. The CNG was severely damaged in the collision.
On receiving the information, the fire service personnel rescued the injured and took them to Natore Sadar Hospital where Kholilur Rahman was declared dead. When the injured were admitted to Natore Sadar Hospital, BGB personnel Moktadul was killed while undergoing treatment.
Moktadul, working in Naogaon BGB, was coming to Natore by CNG to go to his home Magura on leave due to his mother's death. The other deceased Kholilur Rahman was the branch manager of Naogaon Agricultural Development Bank.
