The busy paved road from the helipad to Phulsagar in Fulbari upazila, Kurigram, has been severely damaged due to the heavy rains of Asharh, leading to significant public inconvenience. Despite locals' efforts to repair the road, their attempts have not been fully successful.

This road is a vital connection between Fulbari Bazaar, Gangarhat, the defunct enclave Dasiaarchhara, and Nageshwari upazila. However, the rainwater has caused extensive damage, making travel difficult for thousands of people.

The road's foundation is sandy, and without a proper drainage system, rainwater erodes the sand, resulting in the road breaking. Consequently, various sections of this busy route have developed cracks, exacerbating the public's suffering.

Amid this situation, the local population has urgently called for effective measures to prevent further damage to this critical road. Local media worker Nazmul Hasan highlighted the urgent need for an efficient drainage system to manage the rainwater on this road from the helipad to Phulsagar.

Krishna Chandra Sen, a local resident and newspaper distributor, expressed concerns about the commuting difficulties caused by the road's deterioration. He emphasized that if the issue is not promptly addressed, the hardship will worsen, leading to more accidents.

Fulbari Upazila Engineer Mamunur Rashid Mamun has informed journalists that steps will be taken to repair the road following a thorough investigation of the situation. The local community is hopeful that these efforts will restore the road and alleviate the current travel challenges.
