Police have arrested two accused persons in connection with murder of two persons including general secretary of Nayalabhanga union unit of Awami League and also a member of Chapainawabganj Zilla Parishad.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Shibganj thana Md Sajjad Hossain confirmed this on Saturday (29 June).
Ferdousi Begum, wife of victim Abdus Salam, filed a murder case with Shibganj thana on Friday night, he added.
Abdus Salam and one of his allies Abdul Matin Ali were killed as they were shot and charged with cocktails in front of Ranihati Degree College near Government Ashrayon Prokolpa in Shibganj upazila in the district on Thursday.
