Two motorcyclists were killed in an accident on a rain-soaked road in Boalmari, Faridpur at around 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.
According to locals, a passenger bus traveling from Alfadanga to Faridpur collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. Locals reported that the motorcycle was speeding recklessly. In the collision, the motorcyclist was crushed under the bus's wheels, and the other rider fell onto the road, sustaining a fatal head injury and dying on the spot. Following the accident, the bus driver and staff abandoned the vehicle and fled away.
Md. Shahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalmari Police Station, stated that police went to the spot after receiving the information. The bus is being seized and brought to the police station, and a case is being processed.
