A class I student was killed after being hit by a battery-run autorickshaw in Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari on Wednesday (10 July). The deceased was Jui, 7, daughter of one China Khatun of Dangapara village under Nababpur union of the upazila.
She was a student of Padmodi Chandana Guchhogram Government School and used to live with her mother.
Locals said autorickshaw ran over her while she was crossing a road in front of the school after end of school around 12 noon, leaving her dead on the spot.
Baliakandi police station’s Officer-in-Charge Md Alamgir Hossain said they are taking legal action.
