Six alleged robbers, arrested during separate drives at Dirai upazila in the district, were sent to jail following a court directive on Tuesday (16 July).
The arrested were identified as Sujon Ahmed Sebul, 33, Rahibul, 44, Jony Pal, 22, Shapon Mia, 23, Rony Biswas, 25, and Prokash Biswas, 22. All of them, except Sujon Ahmed Sebul, are the residents of Dirai upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Dirai police station Md Ikhtiyar Uddin Chowdhury said police conducted separate drives at various parts of Dirai upazila on Sunday (14 July) and arrested them.
Following their statement, police later seized a stolen motorcycle from Gowainghat upazila.
