A motorbike rider was killed and 3 others were injured in a road accident at Rampur area in Lohagora upazila of the district last night. The deceased was identified as Shuvo Sheikh, 20, son of Imran Sheikh, a resident of Dhopadah village in Kashipur union of the upazila.
Police said the accident took place around 8 pm in front of Niribili Picnic Spot of the area when two motorbikes collided head-on, leaving three bike riders injured.
Locals rescued the injured and admitted to Lohagora Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared Shuvo dead.
Officer-in-charge of Lohagora Police Station Kanchan Kumar Roy confirmed the matter. A case was filed in this connection.
