The residence of Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury in Chittagong was attacked this evening, Saturday.
According to reports, the attack occurred when a procession by anti-discrimination students and citizens passed through the Sholoshahar area of the city. During the attack, several cars and various items at the minister's residence were vandalized.
The minister's brother-in-law, Selim Akhtar Chowdhury, confirmed the incident to the media. He said, "We have received news that protesters have attacked the minister's residence. We are heading to the scene."
Trisha Das, the duty officer of Panchlaish Police Station in the city, told the media, "Upon receiving the news of the attack on the minister's residence, we have dispatched a force to the location."
