Students took charge of traffic management in different parts of the Noakhali district as volunteers since there are no traffic policemen found on duty on the roads. The students were seen controlling the traffic movement at chowmohani Commercial hub with rain, intersection chowrasta in Begumganj upazila.
They took charge in Maijdee town, Sonapur a small town. They were not allowing even any vehicles including rickshaws and motorcycles to take the wrong way or stand. They charge to motorcycle rider why not used helmet.
When asked a CNG diver Selim he told daily messenger that we are happy, at the name purashava none of toll collection.
In every movement Chowmuhani to Maijdee have pay 20 to 30 taka. Selim however said, others day toll collection on behalf Paribhan Samitee.
Police sources from Noakhali said all police personnel from the town have been shifted to Maijdee bazar Police Lines for security reasons.
