A case has been registered against 45 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in connection with the hacking of a person named Shafiqul Islam Shafiq in the anti-discrimination student movement.
Along with that, 150 other unidentified people have been accused in this case.
Tashlima Akhter, the wife of Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, who was killed on Wednesday (21 August) night, has filed this case at Araihajar Police Station as the plaintiff.
The accused in the case include former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Member of Parliament of Narayanganj-4 Shamim Osman, former Member of Parliament of Narayanganj-2 Nazrul Islam Babu, former Member of Parliament of Narayanganj-3 Kaiser Hasnat and former Member of Parliament of Narayanganj-1 Golam Dastgir Gazi.
Ahsan Ullah, OC of Araihazar police station, confirmed the matter to this representative.
He said that his wife Tashlima Akhter has filed a case as a plaintiff in the case of the hacking of a person named Shafiqul Islam Shafiq on August 5 in connection with the anti-discrimination student movement. In the case, 45 people have been named and 100 to 150 others have been named as accused.
Notably, on August 5, Taslima's husband, brother-in-law Jahangir, Yasin, Kabir Hossain joined the anti-discrimination student movement. As a result of this, on that evening in front of Ansar Ali's house in Baluakandi village, as soon as the accused No. 20 to 45 reached the spot, accused No. 20 to 45 took the native weapons of her husband, Vasur Devard, and on the order of Ansar Ali, the defendant Rifat inflicted bloody injuries with a Chinese ax. Yasin later tied her husband's face with a towel.
Later, Sadhu and members of Zamir slashed her with sharp da and Ramda and inflicted serious bloody injuries, killing her husband on the spot.
