Flood situation improves in Noakhali, 3 dead reported

The flood situation in the low-lying areas at kabirhat, Begumganj, Maijdee court in sadar upazila improving gradually on Saturday (24 August).

Locals and Noakhali district weather office said daily messenger that, till Friday has not seen any heavy rainfall was noted in the western part of Noakhali district

The water levels of the different link roads, villages have been receding.

Hence, the upstream areas in these regions saw a decrease in the river of Meghna water level, leading to a gradual improvement in the flooding situation in Noakhali and adjoining areas and low-lying areas.

Rafiqul Islam, district weather officer said daily messenger, No heavy rain is expected in the south-eastern of the Noakhali district in the next 24 hours.
