In Pabna`s Iswardi an old man named Sirajul Islam (65) brutally killed after not getting 10 lakh Tk ransom money.
Hence, His dead body was found on Saturday (31 August), morning in a rented house adjacent to Rahimpur graveyard in Ishwardi town.
Victim, Sirajul Islam was a security worker of Ruppur nuclear power project.
Al Amin Hossain, son of the victim said that his father did not return home after finishing his duty at night on August 24.
Later, his father made a call from his cell phone to an unknown person and demanded a ransom of 10 lakh rupees. The abductors also said that if the money is not paid, they will kill his father and leave the body. The next day he filed a missing diary in Iswardi police station in consultation with family members.
Meanwhile, Balbul Hossain, the owner of the house where Sirajul Islam's dead body was found, said that on August 22, two unidentified men rented the house as husband and wife.
A day later on August 24, I went to their house and brought Tk 4,000 as advance rent and photocopy of national identity card. After that, the couple, who were identified as husband and wife, went missing on the 28th.
On Friday night, when the smell spread from the tenant's room, the locals informed the police on Saturday morning. Later the police came and identified the dead body. According to the National Identity Card information, the tenant is the son of Ajibur Rahman of Baraichara (Tetultala) village of Shajahan Ali Upazila.
Biplab Kumar Goswami, Additional Superintendent of Police of Ishwardi Circle, said that immediately after the disappearance of the deceased Sirajul, the police started investigating his family members. But due to lack of specific information, it was not possible to rescue him. Sirajul Islam's body was found on the spot this morning on the news of finding the body of an unknown person. Those involved in this incident will be investigated and the accused will be arrested very soon.
