Shirhan Sharif Tamal, son of former land minister and President of Ishwardi Upazila Jubo League of Pabna, was arrested on Thursday (5 september) night with weapons and drugs.
He was arrested from Alobagh Mor area of the upazila. Meanwhile, RAB seized 1 foreign pistol, 1 magazine, 4 rounds, 10 pieces of Yaba and 1 private from Shirhan Sharif Tamal.
Company commander of RAB-12 (CPC-2) Ehteshamul Haque Khan confirmed this information through a press release on Friday (6 september).
Detained Jubo League president Shirhan Sharif Tamal was a named accused in the attack on students during the anti-discrimination student movement in Ishwardi.
