A man, who was seen in a video footage firing with two pistols during the quota reform movement in Boalia area of Rajshahi city on August 5, was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) from Cumilla’s Daudkandi upazila early Saturday.
The arrestee was Zahirul Islam alias Rubel.
Tipped off, a team of Rab conducted a drive in the area around 12:45 am and arrested Rubel, said sources at Rab headquarters.
The video footage of Rubel holding two pistols went viral on the social networking site Facebook.
